Robert Four has the exclusive right to manufacture the famous French hand-knotted carpets known as Tapis de Savonnerie. In the XXIst century, the Manufacture has re-invented them by bringing to the archives new interpretations adapted for the requirements of his connoisseur customers. Be it with respect for tradition or a contemporary interpretation, Robert Four’s Savonnerie carpets enchant the most exacting clients and decorate exceptional locations from the private residences to the most sumptuous Palaces in the world.
A Robert Four exclusivity.
The textile designer, Janaina Milheiro, by the introduction of feathers, transforms fragments of Aubusson tapestries into veritable works of contemporary art, resembling sculptures or artefacts. The journalist, Sylvie Adigard, from the morning television programme “Télématin” on France 2, filmed a beautiful report on this exhibition: https://vimeo.com/226938604
